How to lead at home
- Help them pray out loud. A great place to start is saying short simple prayers and asking your child to repeat after you. Pray with your child during intentional moments throughout the day: morning time, drive time, meal time, and bed time.
Help them talk with God by asking:- What are you thankful for?
- What do you want God to help you with?
- Help them memorize scripture. Your child practices a monthly memory verse every weekend in CedarCreek Kids. Say it together and make it a game!
- Purchase a kids’ Bible. We love The Jesus Storybook Bible.
How to partner with the church
- Build relationships with your child’s CedarCreek Kids Group Leader and help your child do the same. Consistent attendance will help your child feel safe and comfortable with leaders who become friends! They want to partner with you!
- Become familiar with our CedarCreek Kids resources, such as Parent Cues, to reinforce Basic Truths at home.
