Small Group Highlight:
Every week in January your 1st-3rd grader will start off their group time by playing what we are calling “brain games.” This includes games like Spot It, Jenga, Boggle, and etc. The goal for this time is for the small group leader to create connections with your student while also reminding them of the bottom line that knowledge is learning something new so you can be better at whatever you do. In the first week of this series, your 4th-5th grader will participate in a group activity called, “Fun Facts Race.” During this activity they will share a unique fact about themselves on a notecard and then each student will guess who the unique fact is about. Their group leader will lead a discussion around the ways we can get to know others and God better.
God Time Cards:
These daily devotionals help your child apply what they are learning in CedarVille through intentional conversation and application. Your child may want to complete these on their own or with you. You can also use them to guide a whole family conversation! You can download them here: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4.
