Small Group Highlight:
During our Easter Services your child will experience fun and engaging small group activities. All of the 1st-3rd graders will be invited to draw a picture of themselves with Jesus and then write letters to Him. They will be guided to thank Jesus for dying on the cross for their sins, ask Jesus a question, or simply say, “I love you.” The 4th-5th graders will explore the Easter story with balloons representing each person in the story. They will talk briefly about how each person must have felt, and then the group will pick one person to draw a face and facial expression on the balloon that matches the feelings of that person. As they tell the story, the group leader will encourage the kids that although the beginning of the story is sad and tragic, the end changed all of our lives forever. Jesus changes everything!
