Congratulations! If you prayed to ask Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sin, then the Bible says that you are saved – and you become a part of God’s family. That’s something to celebrate! However, we know that you are likely wondering:
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
We hope that you had a chance to pick up your “Next Steps” packet, which includes a New Testament Bible. If you have not yet received your Next Steps material (including New Testament Bible) or if you have questions, click here and fill out the information.
“Jesus once said that with God, all things are possible,
and the great thing about life with God is that your next step is always possible.”
~ John Ortberg, pastor and author of The Me I Want To Be
While we don’t want to over-simplify what it means to be a follower of Christ, but it might be helpful for you to think about your spiritual growth in the following rhythm: ABCD:
ACCEPTANCE
When you accepted that Jesus Christ came to earth and died on the cross for your sins, the Bible explains that God forgave you and saved you. This means that not only can you trust and depend on God to lead and guide you each day, but that you will spend eternity with Him after you die.
Your Next Steps:
- If you have already prayed to ask Jesus to forgive your sins, congratulations! You’re ready for the next step.
- If you have not prayed, but would like to do so, you can pray the following prayer: Dear Jesus, I realize that I cannot be right before God on my own. I know that I am a sinner and that you came to die on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me of my sins and come into my life to lead and guide me each day. Amen.
BAPTISM
